Yoga in the Park

Historic Savannah Foundation Lecture Series: "A Home for Savannah: Expanding the Narrative of the Davenport House Museum"
The Davenport House Museum, which is owned and operated by Historic Savannah Foundation, is undertaking a critical shift and revealing new layers of history through innovative exhibitions, expanded research and community-centered programming. Part of the 2025 Historic Savannah Foundation Lecture Series, "The People, Places and Stories That Define Savannah," Davenport House Museum Executive Director Danielle Hodes will explain the importance of expanding the narrative and creating a more inclusive experience. Free for Historic Savannah Foundation members, $15 per person for non-members. Yogic Meditation
This group is hosted by Carmen and focuses on Yogic style meditation. All participants have the option of a chair or a mat and bolster to sit on, but feel free to bring a zafu/zabutan if you have one you like to use! Each session begins with a short talk on Yoga Philosophy, an explanation of the techniques, then have 10-20 minutes of practice together. All levels are encouraged to come, and chairs will be available. Tickets not required, $5 donation encouraged, but no one turned away due to lack of funds. 6-7 p.m. Cosmic Corner, 305 E. 38th St.

Bumble Bee Atlas Field Day
Learn about the Southeast Bumble Bee Atlas project and contribute to conservation! Practice catching, photographing, and identifying bumble bees. You will learn more about the project and how you can participate with just a net and a camera. Meet at the Sandpiper Trail. Anyone with an interest in bees and a desire to help them in a hands-on way is encouraged to attend—no prior experience needed! Nets provided. Their community science project has led to 4500 observations of bumble bees including 3 threatened and endangered species. Expect to be outdoors 2-2.5 hours. Dress appropriately and be prepared for warm weather. Bring and drink plenty of water. Please pre-register for the event:
