Coastal Georgia Town Hall 

The midterms are coming, and now is the time for those seeking political positions to have a dialogue with their community. Coastal Georgia for Democracy is bringing together political candidates to speak directly with Georgians who seek answers to tough questions. The Town Hall will feature candidates for many upcoming races in Georgia: within Savannah, Public Service Commission, state House of Representatives, Congressional District 1, and the Governorship. Savannah Special Effects Club Presents Twisted Issues 

Join the meet up of the Savannah Special Effects club with a movie screening of director Charles Pinion’s “Twisted Issues”. This DIY splatter comedy tells the story of an u indeed skateboarder on a quest for revenge, and serves as a wonderful time capsule of the late 1980s Gainesville, FL. punk scene, as well as what aspiring film makers can achieve on a limited budget. Midtown Farmers Market in Daffin Park! 

Come check out the midweek farmer’s market, now moved to Daffin Park! Vendors include farmers with local fruits and veggies, local honey, local meats and seafood and more. Farmer run, locally-grown, built for neighbors. Free. Food prices vary. 3-7 p.m. Daffin Park. 

Yoga in the Park 

Yoga in the park! Get your stretch on with free yoga in the park this and every Wednesday with instructor Danette “Dani B.” Bauer. Each class is sixty minutes, and open to all skill levels, with breathwork, inclusive language, physical modifications. Bring a mat, water, make a new friend. Self-Care Night at Lalka Beauty Co. to Benefit Mary’s Place: An Evening of Self-Nurturing, Perfect Mocktails, and Purpose 

Join Lalka Beauty for a night of light self-care and perfect mocktails — all in support of Mary’s Place: Sexual Assault Center of the Coastal Empire (formerly the Rape Crisis Center). Guests will enjoy some of Lalka Beauty Co.’s favorite services, sip bubbly beverages, and hear about the importance of self-care. Attendees can also browse the beautiful Lalka shop for unique trinkets and treats. Proceeds from ticket sales directly benefit Mary’s Place and our mission to provide compassionate support and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault. Bangers and Baddies Variety Show 

Come check out a variety show brought to the stage by burlesque troupe Camp Delicious. This show will feature burlesque dancers performing with punk band the Mar-Mars. Burlesque performers include Arabica Black, Daisy, Ginger Darlin’, Dulcy Delicious, Nomi Foxx, and Sadhira Sol. 21 and up. $10. Doors at 8:30 p.m. Show at 9 p.m. El Rocko Lounge, 117 Whitaker St. 

Yogic Meditation

This group is hosted by Carmen and focuses on Yogic style meditation. All participants have the option of a chair or a mat and bolster to sit on, but feel free to bring a zafu/zabutan if you have one you like to use! Each session begins with a short talk on Yoga Philosophy, an explanation of the techniques, then have 10-20 minutes of practice together. All levels are encouraged to come, and chairs will be available. Tickets not required, $5 donation encouraged, but no one turned away due to lack of funds. 6-7 p.m. Cosmic Corner, 305 E. 38th St.

The Best Art Expression Art Show 

Take a trip to the Beach Institute for a day filled with creativity and inspiration at “THE BEST ART EXPRESSION” event! Get ready to immerse yourself in all white while in a world of colors and emotions as artist L Shameka B showcases her finest work. From mesmerizing paintings to captivating pieces that will be for sale, this event is a celebration of artistic talent. All white attire encouraged. Two Tides Slush Fest 

Join Two Tides for tropical endless summer vibes all around. Over 30 frozen slushies concocted by the finest slush artisans they know, plus a few slushies by Two Tides, and Mover and Shaker Co. There’s gonna be a little somethin’ for everyone, including non-alcoholic drinks. No pre-order, no tickets, just show up for slushy goodness. Participating breweries include American Solera, Burial, DSSOLVR, Evil Twin, Fidens, Hoof Hearted, Inner Voice, Mast Landing, Messorem, Mortalis, Ology, Other Half, and Reve.
