Festive Yuletide Tours at the Davenport House
Attendees are warmly invited to enjoy this seasonal opportunity to step into the ornate world of the Davenports during the holidays, complete with historically accurate décor and an illuminating examination of Savannah’s holiday traditions in the 1800s. All guided tours during this period will include a special holiday interpretation of the Davenport House. Now through January 3. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students ages 18-21, $10 for children ages 6-17 and free for children under 6. Tickets are currently available online at davenporthousemuseum.org. Family Movie Day: Muppet Christmas Carol
Join the Otis S. Johnson Cultural Arts Center for a family movie day! Kids of all ages and parents will enjoy a fun Muppet-themed craft starting at 10:15am. Then at 11:00am, you'll make your way into Ben Tucker Theater for a screening of The Muppet Christmas Carol! "The Muppets' version of the Dickens holiday classic about a miser who's visited by three ghosts features Kermit the Frog as the penny-pincher's hardworking and loyal employee." Green-Meldrim House Presents Christmas in Wartime
Living history performers will recount stories of how the holidays were recognized in Savannah during the Civil War years. Experience music, dancing, parlor games and ghost stories in period costumes. Attendees must be able to walk up and down stairs and maneuver in low light levels. Adults: $19 in advance. $21 at the door. Students (6-17): $15 in advance. $17 at the door. Reservations recommended. Attendance is limited. Shows also on the 27th and 28th. Beer and Yoga Sound Journey and New Years Intentions
The new year represents a chance to reflect on the past and the opportunity to create something new. Join Service Brewing and Savannah Power Yoga for beer, yoga, a sound journey, and setting your new years intentions. Special 90 minute class, with 50 minutes of yoga followed by 35 minutes of a sound journey.
