Open Mic Night with the Poetry Co-op

ARTS Southeast Proposals Now Open for Incubator Artist Initiative 

ARTS Southeast is excited to announce the 2026 call for applications for the Incubator Artist Initiative, which provides a local artist with a free studio at ARTS Southeast for one year in 2026. They're now accepting proposals for this unique opportunity, aimed at supporting Savannah-based emerging artists. Offering a free, prime studio space at ARTS Southeast, professional development and community engagement opportunities, connectivity with visiting ON::View Artists-in-Residence from around the world – and more – the Incubator Artist Initiative has the potential to transform an artist's practice and trajectory. Applications are due by January 12th, 2026 and can be completed via their website artssoutheast.org. Free to apply. Now through January 12. 

ARTS Southeast Call for Submissions ON::View Artist Residency Program, June - September 2026 

ARTS Southeast is excited to share that applications are now open for June - September 2026 of the ON::View Artist Residency Program! The ON::View Residency supports artists from around the world working in all media, providing a free, high visibility studio space for an artist to complete a new project, to continue an in-progress endeavor, or to conduct research exploring conceptual, material, performative, and social practices. Located just blocks away, the 5th Dimension Apartment is a cozy studio with a full kitchen and bath to comfortably house the artist for the duration of their stay. $50 to apply, applications due February 16.

Georgia Public Service Commission Special Election 

Vote! The PSC regulates the cost of electricity provided by Georgia Power, two out of five seats are up for vote. The five PSC commissioners make decisions on rate increases, service reliability, and investments in clean energy. Seat 1 candidates include Tim Echols (R) incumbent, and Alicia Johnson (D). Seat 2 candidates include Fitz Johnson (R) incumbent, and Peter Hubbard (D). Free. Polls open 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Find your polling location via website at mvp.sos.ga.gov. 

Amici Music Presents the Jewish Soul 

Classical music lovers will appreciate another series by Amici Music, this time performing a powerful "JEWISH SOUL" program with the husband and wife team of violinist Thiago Formiga and his cellist Leah Dutton. This concert will feature works by Jewish composers (Mendelssohn, Bloch, and Popper) as well as composers such as Bruch who were strongly influenced by Jewish liturgical music. They will also play some very fun Klezmer-inspired music as well. Free. 6:30 p.m. Skidaway Community Church, 50 Diamond Causeway.

Yoga in the Park 

Yoga in the park! Get your stretch on with free yoga in the park this and every Wednesday with instructor Danette “Dani B.” Bauer. Each class is sixty minutes, and open to all skill levels, with breathwork, inclusive language, physical modifications. Bring a mat, water, make a new friend. 'Courtyard Concert Series' with DJ Miss Paradise 

Step into a vibrant fusion of culture and sound with SCAD MOA’s Courtyard Concert Series, a three-part celebration of live music hosted in the outdoor oasis of the courtyard. Each performance showcases a distinctive musical experience — featuring both local talent and acclaimed regional artists — curated to reflect the spirit of the season. Find your spot in the courtyard and let the music carry you through the night. Join us for the kickoff DJ debut and stay tuned for the full series lineup. Paint along with Bug Ross

Yogic Meditation 

This group is hosted by Carmen and focuses on Yogic style meditation. All participants have the option of a chair or a mat and bolster to sit on, but feel free to bring a zafu/zabutan if you have one you like to use! Each session begins with a short talk on Yoga Philosophy, an explanation of the techniques, then have 10-20 minutes of practice together. All levels are encouraged to come, and chairs will be available. Tickets not required, $5 donation encouraged, but no one turned away due to lack of funds. 6-7 p.m. Cosmic Corner, 305 E. 38th St.

Tybee Post Music Festival 

Get ready to catch some beachy vibes at the 4th annual Tybee Post Music Fest on Tybee Island, GA! They're cranking up the fun meter with three days of awesome bands that'll have you dancing all weekend long. This festival is your passport to a musical adventure like no other. They are kickin' the fundraiser off before each show with a lawn party outside in front of the Tybee Post Theater, featuring a food truck, games, music, and more. After the festivities of the lawn party, come on inside to enjoy some amazing music! Music Festival runs throughout the weekend featuring Chairmen of the Board, Futurebirds, and Sounds of Georgia. Hostess City Food and Wine Festival 

Don’t miss Savannah’s newest and most exciting culinary event! The inaugural Hostess City Food and Wine Fest Savannah will feature unlimited tastings from top local chefs, restaurants and beverage partners as well as live music and wine tastings with Sommelier Caleb Poppell. A portion of the proceeds from every ticket sold will be donated to Gilliard & Co., a Savannah-based nonprofit organization supporting youth who are aging out of the foster care system. Davenport House Museum Fall Arts Festival 

Take part in a celebration of more than two centuries of creativity, preservation and community at the Davenport House Museum Fall Arts Festival! This family-friendly event will include an artisan vendor fair; hands-on art activities led by Rebecca Braziel and Salacia Salts; and a collaborative community art project led by Calvin Thomas that will invite creatives of all ages to contribute to a shared work of art. Live music will be provided by Susanna Kennedy, Cory Chambers, Hollee Spring and Michael Carp. On-site food vendors will include Pour Boy Mobile Barista and Nieve with Love Handcrafted Frozen Desserts. Plus, the award-winning Davenport House Museum will be open for exploration and offer special opportunities and interactive activities designed to connect the house’s history with Savannah’s arts community. Staged Reading of play “America” by Rick Garman 

Inside an isolated roadside diner in the Nevada desert, a group of strangers have boarded up the windows and taken up weapons in a battle for their lives. A deadly but enigmatic menace lurks outside but could the real threat already be among them? A dark thriller that examines the divides and fractures in our contemporary society through a tension-packed story about the lengths people will go to in order to survive. The reading features some of Savannah's best actors who have worked on just about every stage in town including Trey Coles, Carol Dines, Ethan Goble, Cami Nicole Hall, Thomas Houston, Alister King, Gwen Leahy, AJae Michele, Rayshawn Roberts, Elliot Szabo, and Scenarious Thurmond. A Q&A discussion with the author and cast will be held immediately afterward. 21 and up. $10, with all proceeds from the sales will benefit the Savannah Performance Alliance and their ongoing efforts to promote the performing arts in Savannah. 7 p.m. Club One, 1 Jefferson St. 

CLEO Project Space Fall Fundraiser 

It’s official — Cleo turns FIVE this year, and they’re throwing a Fall Fundraiser to celebrate! Join them for an afternoon of art, community, and celebration. Enjoy a Low Country Boil by the one and only Parker Stewart PLUS live music, drinks, crafts, yard games, a live auction, and goodie bags with brand new Cleo merch. It’s a family-friendly event!
